Travis Pike is a former Marine machine gunner and a lifelong firearms enthusiast who now writes about guns, gear, and shooting for a living. He served five years with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines, deploying to Afghanistan in 2009 and again in 2011 aboard the 22nd MEU (SOC), earned an Expert Rifle Badge, and trained alongside the Romanian Army, Spanish Marines, Emirate Marines, and Afghan National Army. Today he channels that experience into hands-on firearms writing and instruction. An NRA-certified pistol instructor who teaches concealed-carry courses, Travis focuses on helping everyday people protect themselves and shoot better at the range. His work covers defensive firearms, military weapons systems, and tactical gear for a long list of publications — including Gun University, GAT Daily, Pew Pew Tactical, The Truth About Guns, Sandboxx, AmmoLand, The Armory Life, GunMag Warehouse, Task & Purpose, and RECOIL.
