Who is the mysterious sniper that kills ISIS chiefs in Libya?
The militant chiefs are said to have been picked off one-by-one in Sirte, the Libyan coastal city where colonel Muammar Gaddafi was born, which the ISIS-affiliated groups took control of last year. According to unconfirmed social media reports, ISIS fighters are now sweeping the city for the man ordinary Libyans are said to be dubbing ‘Daesh hunter’.
Social media are full of posts dubbing mysterious sniper as “Daesh hunter”. It’s also reported that ISIS militants are now sweeping the city in order to track down a mysterious killer.
The first militant who died by the hand of the mysterious sniper was Hamad Abdel Hady, a Sudanese national who was killed on January 13, according to Libya Prospect. According to that report, he was an high-ranked official in the sharia court, handing out ISIS’ warped and violent sense of justice.
The next target was identified as Abu Mohammed Dernawi who was killed on January 19 near his home in the city and the most recent death is rumoured to be that of Abdullah Hamad al-Ansari, a high-up commander from southern Libya, who was shot dead as he left the mosque on January 23.
However, despite the eventual sniper could be recognized as a hero to those living under the control of ISIS, this may not be the start of rebellion or something similar against ISIS fighters in the city because journalist Daniele Raineri pointed out a similar assassination took place in July, when an ISIS preacher was shot dead.
The town of Sirte has become a safe heaven for ISIS militants since US-led coalition and Russia’s bombing campaign started. The estimated number of ISIS militants occupying town is around 3,000 fighters.

U.S. Army looking for new pistol, M9A3 proposal rejected
In early December, Beretta USA, the manufacturer of the U.S. military’s official sidearm submitted a modernized version of M9, designated as M9A3 as a possible alternative to the Army’s Modular Handgun System program – an effort to replace the M9, who spent in service 30 years, with a more powerful, state-of-the-art pistol.
The improved version of M9 features new sights, a rail for mounting lights and accessories, better ergonomics and improved reliability, Beretta USA officials said, but it looks like it was not good enough for the U.S. Army officials. The final decision comes out late in December when Army’ s Configuration Control Board decided not to evaluate the M9A3. The Beretta’s engineering change proposal for the M9 was already made but the control board decided different, according to a source familiar with the decision.
The next move expected by the Army is to release a pending request for proposal that will launch the MHS competition. That cleared the way for the introduction of new service sidearm. Program Executive Office Soldier would not comment on this story until Army Public Affairs has approved a statement, PEO Soldier spokesman Doug Graham said Thursday night.
The contract could include buying of nearly 500,000 new pistols during a period of significant defense-spending reductions. The U.S. Army worked with the small industry on MHS since 2013, but the joint effort has been in the works for more than five years.
The possible contract, according to the current plans, will include more than 280,000 handguns from a single vendor, with the delivery of the first new handgun systems scheduled for 2017, according to PEO Soldier officials. The Army also plans to buy approximately 7,000 sub-compact versions of the handgun. This should increase soldier’s battle readiness and improve their overall gear and equipment.

The Sig Sauer P320 Really Is The ‘Lego’ Handgun
While size and grip adjustments might be a home run for most companies, Sig Sauer dove deeper to deliver the type of customizable performance that leaves other gun manufacturers scratching their heads. The result? A tool-less 3-point takedown system designed to separate the serialized stainless steel frame and polymer lower from the steel slide and barrel. This adjustability allows the use of an optional Caliber X-Change Kit that makes converting your P320 between 9mm, .357 Sig and .40 S&W quick and easy.
The Sig Sauer P320’s rail even accommodates Sig Sauer red dot optics, such as the Romeo 1, along with fixed sights to allow precise co-witnessing between the two sight systems. The P320 delivers big on eye-catching innovation, exceptional quality, and the reliability you expect from Sig Sauer.
Weatherby Makes Big Changes To Its Rifle Lineup
Weatherby has made a huge change in its product line for 2016 and beyond, ending the run of its flagship rifle, the Mark V, while introducing the New Mark V, a platform that has undergone some significant design changes while remaining true to the high quality of the Weatherby brand.
The New Mark V line incorporates several models, including the New Mark V Accumark. At the 2016 SHOT Show, the New Mark V Accumark was on display and it is definitely a sleeker, more streamlined version of the old Mark V.
“We spend a good deal of time and energy making the New mark V fit the hunter and shooter better,” says Justin Moore, Weatherby’s director of marketing. “To do that, we narrowed the stock, made the comb a bit higher and gave the grip a slight palm swell.”
Like all New Mark V’s, the Accumark is outfitted with the new Weatherby LXX Trigger. The LXX Trigger boasts a wider trigger face to increase trigger-to-finger contact for a more consistent and comfortable pull. Adjustable down to 2.5 lbs., the LXX Trigger’s surfaces are precision
ground, polished, and the overall tolerances refined. Adjustable down to 2.5 lbs., the trigger is crisp and precise.
Like the original Mark V, the New Mark V Accumark is all about accuracy. It comes with a SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee—a three-shot group measuring .99” or less at 100 yards using Weatherby or premium ammunition.
Weatherby also offers the Range Certified (RC) Accumark RC, which comes with its own data sheet from Weatherby’s Oehler Ballistic Imaging System showing an actual three-shot group size and listing exact ammunition used to achieve it. The data sheet will also be signed and certified by Ed or Adam Weatherby, and the rifle will feature a customized floor plate with the Range Certified logo engraved on it. Original Mark V’s are still on the shelves, but Weatherby has already begun shipping some of the new line including the New Mark V Accumark. MSRP, starting at $2,300.

First let’s talk about quality. With JC Arms & Ammunition quality isn’t an upgrade. Quality starts from the very bottom. Brand new virgin brass, competition grade primer and powders. That’s in every single round that they make. Knowing that, let’s talk about price.
Freedom .223 Rem 55 gr. FMJ New – qty 50 – 18.80
JCAA – .223 Rem 55 gr. Hornady FMJ New – qty 50 – 19.50
Freedom – 9mm 115gr RN New – 1120 fps – 11.72
JCAA – 9mm 115gr RN FMJ – New – 1027 fps – 14.95
Now, it’s important to note that Freedom recommends it’s supermatch for competition and consistency and highest levels of accuracy. That is $18.36 per box of 50. They charge a lot more for the consistency and accuracy that JCAA provides as a baseline. That’s impressive to me!
Lastly, let’s talk people. Chris and Nicole are awesome. Getting to know them has been great. Chris is very active on our Facebook and our Patreon only group. He’s there daily which shows not only what great business owner’s they are, but also what great members of the shooting community they are.

Somewhat knowlegable. Funny at times. I’m no prude, but the sophomoric humor and over the top “beeps” make it hard to listen to.

We Like Shooting endorses Sean Maloney for re-election to the NRA Board
![cropped-2014-first-shot[1]](http://welikeshooting.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/cropped-2014-first-shot1-e1454002335310.jpg)
He’s responsible for some great pro-gun legislation in OH from his work with the Buckeye Firearms Association. He has solutions and acts on them.
We’ve had the opportunity to sit with Sean many times and talk about the factors that affect the 2nd amendment and all of us gun owners. We always walk away inspired. Let’s get him re-elected! Vote for Sean Maloney.
From his website –
To My Fellow Patriots and 2nd Amendment Advocates:
I was born and raised in Corry, a small town in Northwestern Pennsylvania, at the base of the Allegheny Mountains. I moved to Ohio in 1987 to attend law school at Ohio Northern University. While living in Ohio, my wife Debbie and I developed such good friendships, along with such a deep sense of community that we never returned home to Corry. We eventually settled in Liberty Township, a rural farm community at the time, much like Corry, to raise our family.
For as long as I can remember, I have been involved with firearms and firearms rights. For example these past 12 months I traveled to Colorado and presented myself as a volunteer to help recall two anti-gun Colorado State Senators. These two Senators were responsible for stripping fundamental gun rights from Colorado Residents, and all who visit or pass through Colorado.
I am nobody special. I just couldn’t sit back and watch fellow Americans lose their fundamental gun rights. We were successful and sent two Colorado State Senators packing, including the Senate President John Morse. Later our recall victory forced another anti-gun senator to resign.
A few months later, I traveled to Virginia volunteer my time with the NRA to join in the NRA-ILA election fight for Governor. Although we were not successful in the gubernatorial campaign, we did secure the seats necessary to control the Legislature. I have always campaigned on behalf of, and supported those candidates for political office who share our same Second Amendment values.
As an Attorney, for many years I have volunteered my time representing clients’ who are in need of assistance protecting their firearms rights. As a 2nd Amendment advocate, I have written countless letters to the editor. As an NRA Life Member, I have worked to spread my 2nd Amendment beliefs to anyone who would listen. As an NRA Election Volunteer Coordinator, I have helped organize and have worked for countless NRA Endorsed Candidates. And as a father, I have done my duty to raise the next generation of 2nd Amendment advocates.
Now, it’s time to further dedicate myself, to my fellow NRA Members, by serving on the Board of Directors. If successful, in part, I seek to share lessons learned from my years of Second Amendment advocacy with others, so that each American benefits and shares equally in the protections secured by the 2nd Amendment.
For many years I had been involved in partisan politics, fighting for good government. Then as my dedication to the NRA intensified, I came to the understanding that our 2nd Amendment rights cannot be fought and protected along party lines. Accordingly, I left partisan politics and dedicated myself to volunteering on behalf of the NRA.
If you place your confidence in me by voting for me in February or early March 2015, I promise hard work and continued dedication to you, as well as, the over 5 million members of the NRA.
Yours in freedom,
Sean Maloney

Guardian Reporter: Offered chance to clear the air about SHOT show ejection.
Regardless, the organizers did allow reporters from The Guardian (AP) to attend with stipulations that they would focus on what the trade show is leaving politics aside. The NSSF informed the Guardian reporters that they should not be injecting politics into their questions, that they should have an escort at all times, and they should not harass vendors. They agreed and were allowed press credentials for the event.
Interestingly enough, however, The Guardian reporters went on to immediately violate all the terms, as can be seen in their video, and subsequently having their press passes and access to SHOT Show rescinded before being ejected by security.
Rupert began by asking various attendees about sales number increases, how events like mass shootings increases the sale of guns, and then proceeded to ask the people at the Smith & Wesson booth if a particular model firearm was used in a mass shooting. These questions paint to a very biased and agenda driven motive behind The Guardians interest in this convention.
As shown in this week’s podcast in the player above, there were split views about how the situations handling by both SHOT show representatives and the reporters. The email below, sent to Rupert Neate, invited him to join us for a show and provide his point of view, without being attacked:
To which he replied:
The NSSF and SHOT Show issued credentials to a major news outlet, with guidelines, to facilitate a smooth event. The point of allowing outside media, not industry reporters, to come in was to give them an opportunity to see what the show was about, which was firearms and firearm related products.
While SHOT Show is a private, invitation-only event, it does have the right to set out rules for participation. Being representatives and part of the firearm community, we should all be aware and understanding of the scrutiny and criticism coming from outside sources.
Whether or not you agree with SHOT Show’s policies, they are there primarily to screen out people and organizations who’s goal is to promote an agenda and harass attendees and vendors.
When given a chance to have a fair airing of his opinions and agendas, Rupert Neate suggests that his primary purpose for attending was to produce a hit piece. That hit piece was somewhat magnified by their ejection as the reporters got to play the victim card because they were kicked out of the show ‘just for doing their job’.
As anyone on the pro-gun side of the debate knows, this is a ‘cry wolf’ tactic meant to look like the firearm industry are just ‘gun bullies’. While the show’s policies help paint that picture, to a degree, one cannot fault the organization for being proved right.
