Over the summer, I was working with my old 10/22 as well as a new Franklin Armory F22 pistol. With all of the mag loading I was doing, I picked up a SPEED BEEZ Lever Loader. I talked about it a bit in my 10/22 accessory article a little while back.
More recently, I’ve been shooting the new Lipsey’s exclusive Smith & Wesson Model 617 Mountain Gun. It’s a slick revolver with a 10-shot capacity. While I could certainly thumb rounds in by hand, it begged for a speedloader. The Lever Loader I’d used was a handy, well-made gadget, so when I needed speedloaders, I checked back in with SPEED BEEZ. Sure enough, they had just what I was looking for, and then some.
The SPEED BEEZ S&W 617 Speedloader & Case
SPEED BEEZ makes speed loaders for quite a wide variety of revolvers in a myriad of calibers and capacities. I wasn’t surprised they had what I needed. What I didn’t expect was that they also have a pretty cool case that helps you organize your ammo for the range. It also sets up your rounds for recharging your speedloaders quickly.

10-Shot SPEED BEEZ Model 617 Speedloader
SPEED BEEZ speedloaders are extremely well-made. They’re built from CNC-machined aluminum and industry-grade polymer. SPEED BEEZ makes a lot of different loaders, but these ones are made specifically for the Smith & Wesson Model 617. They hold 10 rounds of .22LR ammo.
To load the speedloader, simply insert a round into the loader and push past the spring to hold it in place. Repeat nine more times. To use the speedloader to reload your revolver, just line up the loader and push the big button on the speedloader to release the rounds. Fast and easy.

SPEED BEEZ Speedloader and Case Kit
If you want a handy way to carry a speedloader and some extra rounds, then the Speedloader and Case Kit is the way to go. The kit consists of one SPEED BEEZ Model 617 speedloader and a polymer latching and lockable case. The case holds an empty speedloader and has 10, 10-round slots aligned in a cylinder pattern for ammo. That gives you 100 rounds of .22LR on tap for your range session.

To load the speedloader, simply line it up over one of the rings of 10 rounds. Then push down on the base of the loader and pick up all 10 rounds at once.
The SPEED BEEZ premium 617 Speedloader and Case kit comes with one 10-shot 617 and a latching polymer box that stages 100 rounds of .22LR for rapid reloading. If you shoot more than 100 rounds in a session (and who doesn’t?), you can get additional cases. They nest and easily stack together for storage and transport.
