The tent includes eight ultralight aluminum stakes. You need at least six stakes to pitch the tent, but you can use up to 12. It also comes with guy lines and a stuff sack. You’ll find one interior pocket and plenty of space near your head and feet.
Two trekking poles support the tent and lean slightly outward. This design offers more head and shoulder room when you sit up, enhancing the Gossamer Gear lightweight shelters experience. It helps create a roomier feel, which can be an issue with some single-person tents. Insert the trekking pole handle-side up into a pocket at the peak of the tent. The pointy end fits into a grommet attached to the floor by a tab.

Gossamer Gear truly excelled with The One’s design and construction. I prefer tarps over tents. After avoiding tents for two decades, I quickly remembered why I don’t like them.
I set up the tent without any instructions or videos, which took longer than expected. I staked out the corners and fumbled around. Eventually, I realized it works with trekking poles or sticks (a helpful tip). Once set, adjusting it with the guylines was easy. I even used a hatchet to create extra stakes for more options.
The One stands out as an exceptional shelter, offering versatility and adaptability. It features a bug net for ample visibility and allows cool breezes in warm weather.
