“Execute S.66”

With the 116th Congress underway Senator Palpatine.. excuse me, Feinstein, has once again introduced an assault weapons bill to the floor of the U.S. Senate

S.66 – A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes.

The full text of the bill is not up on congress.gov as I am writing this, however it will be shortly and the link will take you to it.

It promises to be an arduous and asinine legalese that separates certain weapon types from owners based on zero appreciable data suggesting we can shift mass casualty attack deaths lower with its passage. Criminalize millions of American citizens for the ownership of their inanimate property… because scary, or something… for the children.

Far be it from gun control proponents to actually and objectively use some projectionary violence theorem. Perish the thought that they work with experts instead of folk whose jobs rely on them delivering the answers legislators want to hear instead of objective analysis of risks and threats.

Gun control proponents are in an abusive relationship with the thought “Weapons BAD!” and when ever any facet to the contrary is pointed out they cling to their lie like “No! I know the real thing. The rest of you are insane!”

But here we go again… can we fire her already? I think we’ve long surpassed the whole ‘definition of insanity’ criteria.
