Say hello to the Trijicon MRO

Trijicon is making new strides into the world micro red dots with the new Miniature Rifle Optic. Developed for long guns of all types, the MRO uses a straightforward 2-MOA red dot reticle with a wide field of view for enhanced visibility.

With this new red dot scope, Trijicon is expanding territory in the mini red dot sight market, with a powered optic that has multiple light settings including night vision options. The wide field of view gives shooters the ability to acquire targets even when shooting from awkward positions.

Designed for the stresses of combat, the MRO is capable of handling all types of shooting, from work in the range to competition and personal protection and law enforcement. The optic is suitable for engagements at close-quarters out to medium-range.

The scope is built with a large aperture to eliminate “tunneling” associated with so many other red dot sights. It has a broad view with six daytime power settings and two night vision settings, with the off position between the two.

The brightness control dial on the MRO is specifically designed for ambidextrous usage. The brightness dial allows for quick and ergonomic adjustments for all users.

The average runtime for the optic is five years on a single CR2032 cell, which is competitive with trendsetting red dot scopes. That’s continuous use; this is one optic you can turn on and leave on with minimal maintenance.

It’s adjustable with 70 MOA of travel to accommodate any type of firearm at all distances, and it requires no special tools to adjust. Both windage and elevation can be tuned with a thin coin or in a pinch, the rim of a 5.56 NATO or similar shell casing.

With its 7075-T6 body and recessed dials adjustments won’t be particularly necessary. The optic is built to maintain zero through the harshest abuses and measures in at only 2.6 by 1.7 by 2 inches.

It’s hard-anodized, forged 7075-T6 housing is fully sealed and waterproof, providing durability in demanding conditions. The optic is rated waterproof to 100 feet and capable of withstanding temperatures from -60 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

All that in a 4-ounce package. The Trijicon MRO is priced at $629 with a mount and $579 without. As always, real-world prices will be a good amount less, making the MRO one of the most competitive red dot optics available today.
