This map is made up of an interesting array of camouflage patterns used by the military throughout the world. According to Camopedia, there are about a dozen different main types of camouflage, ranging from brushstrokes – which, as the name implies, imitates paintbrush patterns – to chocolate chip – the six-color desert pattern of the United States – as well as puzzle, rain and tiger stripes. The world map shows how the distinct differences in the landscapes around the world affect the camouflage patterns developed for that region.
