Factory Tour: Behind the Curtain at Daniel Defense (VIDEOS)

Located on Warfighter Way in Black Creek, Georgia, Daniel Defense started originally because Marty’s golf game sucked. Or at least that’s how the company’s official history attributes the move to an interest in AR-15s. You see, Daniel picked up his first one in 1999 at the invitation of a friend to go to the range.

“That invitation proved to be a golden opportunity, as Marty had been looking for a recreational outlet to deal with the stress of being a business owner and had a strong desire to work in a field he was truly passionate about,” the company said. “He found a path to fulfilling both of these goals that day at the range. Every shot he fired filled him with a satisfaction he’d never before experienced.”

Two years later, as noted by the backstory video from DD, above, he was begging people to ask him about his sling loop and soon after, Daniel Defense was born.

To see how it’s grown into the powerhouse they are today, Eric with IV8888 took a recent tour of their state-of-the-art facility in Black Creek. If you have 20 minutes to spare, check that out below, as it’s well worth the time.
