The eponymous Rev. Peyton’s of Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band has made the most American of musical instruments.

The Rev crafted his three string “Guitgun” with the help of custom pickup designer Bryan Fleming who hand-wound the pickup for the instrument, made from what appears to be a (working) hinge-break single shot shotgun. Makes for a great camp gun– just watch your TD/muzzle while playing to stay on the safe side.

Just wait til you see the percussion section!

Seriously though, don’t try this at home.

For more Freedom from the Rev, here is the National Anthem played before a Butler Basketball game at the historic Hinkle Fieldhouse via slide guitar (with no shotgun).
