Taking a break from exotic shotgun shells, the gang at Taofledermaus grabbed some black powder and a few random balloons to see if they could (literally) blow one up.

Starting with about 1/2 tsp of black powder set off by a length of cannon fuse on the inside of a water balloon, they step it up to a larger party-size balloon and up the charge to see if they could fully expand one using a dab of the smokey stuff.

And they kinda did.

If you count a millisecond of high speed footage as “kinda.”
